A2 hosting sure had its ups and downs. Transparent pricing, good plans, friendly customer service and a simple-to-use interface gave me a great first impression. However, the performance of the medium-tier Linux plan could have been better.

It wasn’t bad but needs improvements to be ahead of the competition. On top of that, the password retrieval was quite simple. In theory, one person pretending to be a friend could get your password away with relative ease. To sum it up, I believe multiple positive A2 hosting reviews to be completely correct – It is a decent solution for many people. The host is only a couple minor changes away from being a genuine contender.

Their website builder is fun to use and very very simple. But I don’t think it’s worth using this for big operations. Simple reason: you only get phone support. Imagine something breaks and you need to copy and paste code. Can you do it via phone? Never. It’s okay if it’s like a blog, you can send a ticket, wait a couple hours and that’s it. But if it’s a sensitive project? You need people on chat 24/7. It’s a no from me. However, i had this set up for my colleagues recently and it’s not bad. It’s just that chat is very important to have a website running.
Site offline for over 87 hours total in 3 weeks, this is from ONE of their banged up server reports. They didn't even notify customers until over 16 hours after server went down. nl1-ss2 Service Interruption 3 days ago nl1-ss2.a2hosting.com is currently experiencing a service interruption. Users hosted on this server will experience service degradation as a result. Our System Operations team is investigating the root cause of this interruption. We will provide updates as more details are made available. Update 2:30 AM EDT: The server has been rebooted and it's back online now Update 5:00 AM EDT: We have noticed some additional file system errors on the server and our system engineers are looking into it. Technical support services are very poor Three days there is no way to communicate with them * Chat system does not work. * Ticket system works but no response 3 days ago. There is no other way to communicate with them. It is very embarrassing to stop all your accounts without being able to do anything. Their services have become very bad, I do not recommend dealing with them
