Constant Contact is a corporate-focused email provider which has been in the industry for over 20 years!
It promises plenty of features for those seeking a reliable email account, while also assisting with the increasingly important task of email marketing.
Constant Contact Review - Features
Firstly, I should note that Constant Contact is a particularly user-friendly platform. It offers a range of valuable materials that walk you through every aspect of the software.
Speaking of which, Constant Contact offers a lot of different elements in its overall package. These range from basic contact features that you would expect with any email system, to more advanced functionality related to marketing.
Manually adding contacts and addresses is all fairly straightforward, while other features are pretty user-friendly as well. CRM migration is easily achievable (even for users with limited experience), while the software makes it feasible to rapidly build an email contacts list.
Constant Contact reviews have generally opined that setting up campaigns with the email provider is rather slick, and I can concur with this verdict. The software really does an excellent job of hand-holding you through every aspect of its operations, so you can start building email campaigns immediately.
Constant Contact can also be credited for the strong campaign tracking functions included, which can be followed at all times via the Reports tab. And there is a useful range of visual aids included to help you with understanding the success of campaigns more fully.
What I particularly liked about the campaigns section as well, is the fact that so much is tracked automatically. This certainly makes life easier for you when launching an email campaign.
However, there are big weaknesses in this system too.
Probably the most glaring is the lack of A/B testing, which makes the life for marketers far more difficult. I was also surprised that there was no drag-and-drop builder included, as these are standard in this niche.
Constant Contact Pricing
The pricing for Constant Contact is contained in the image below:
In my opinion, these prices are rather expensive. The fact that most of their marketing features aren't even included in the $20/mo. package is a little disappointing too, especially when Mailchimp offers some of these missing features in their free plan.
However, one positive thing to note is that you get a free month’s trial when you sign up for either package, while the company even offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. This latter option is always welcome, considering that it is highly unusual in this niche.
Excellent support and tutorials
Some good automation features
Free trial and money back offers
No A/B testing
Occasional loading issues
Constant Contact Review Summary
Constant Contact delivers a decent email system, but it lacks the marketing clout required for professional operations.
Those seeking B2B features should definitely look at other providers (such as Mailchimp), but the packages offered by Constant Contact can certainly help you build a suitable email contacts list.
