CrocWeb Review

Overall Rating:
User friendly

CrocWeb has been around for nearly a decade in the web-hosting sphere.

With promises to accelerate your website to its maximum performance, the site offers a host of different solutions intended to help your business. But with so many empty promises being thrown around the hosting industry, I decided it was time someone challenged these claims.

So, I conducted my CrocWeb review to put its experience to the test.

First Glance

Asides from the super friendly look that CrocWeb conveys for itself (with the help of its crocodile, hat-wearing mascot), one of the first things to catch my eye was that CrocWeb states it is providing its services to thousands of clients around the world.

Immediately, that sets them apart from the rookie providers in the game and helps to reassure me a little.

Digging deeper, it's clear that this Canadian hosting provider has a good few tricks up its sleeve other than just regular shared hosting. It also provides VPS, reseller hosting options and also larger scale enterprise hosting plans.

And while web hosting services are clearly CrocWeb's primary service, a closer look reveals that domain registration services are also on offer. This is certainly handy, but it'd be better if CrocWeb offered a website builder too - you'd then be able to get everything set up in one place...

CrocWeb Pricing

CrocWeb offers three web hosting plans, keeping things simple for its users.

With prices ranging from $2.95/month to $6.95/month, the core business of CrocWeb is clearly centred on providing affordable hosting solutions. It even provides an exceptional 60-day money back guarantee with each package, while all plans also benefit from CrocWeb's SSD servers.

I must say that pricing for CrocWeb is very reasonable, and those looking at the lower end of the market could do much worse than to give the CrocWeb 60-day money-back guarantee a run for its money.

During my CrocWeb review, I tested the site on Bitcatcha. You can see the results below:

With response times impressing around the U.S., Europe and Australia, the only disappointment sources from Asia and South America. The times displayed in Bangalore were particularly slow.

However, this won't be a problem if your focal audience is situated in the western world.

Rounding Up My CrocWeb Review

The general consensus between other CrocWeb reviews seems to be positive, and I'd have to agree. Over the 9-month period in which I trialed CrocWeb, I found no difficulties in response times, and my uptime has been sound.

With the CrocWeb pricing being so competitive, I can definitely recommend CrocWeb for those looking to test an alternative web hosting provider. For $2.95/month, you can take advantage of shared SSD servers and reliable uptime. It's difficult to fault the value on offer.

If you have any CrocWeb reviews of your own, feel free to share your thoughts and experiences down below.

Total amateurs, very aggressive, non-existent support; offline all the time and deletes your account WITHOUT WARNING..

Support is questionable at best. I have several open tickets with them that they repeatedly change to
answered status even though they have not answered it.

When I reply stating that the status was changed (which reopens the ticket) they again change it to answered without actually answering it.

They then suspend my account for ticket spam as the reason.

If I was not in a contract with them, I would leave them immediately. Look elsewhere.
