Onlive Server Review
2019 October 2nd
Onlive Server is a multinational IT company, offering a variety of different hosting services. It attempts to distinguish its web hosting from the crowd by promoting a vast array of services, located across multiple nations.
But how does it perform in the real world?
My First Impression
I wasn't overly impressed with the appearance and color scheme of the Onlive Server website, although I did like the fact that it openly displays server locations for its products.
However, clicking through the website to make an order is perfectly straightforward. And I like the fact that I could pay via PayPal, which is always preferable for me when making online payments.
With Online Server, there are many different web hosting products to choose from. It offers everything from dedicated servers and VPS to cloud servers and standard shared hosting. For the purpose of this review, I trialed the shared hosting, as that's what I'm most interested in for my own personal use.
In terms of the performance of Onlive Server web hosting, I found this to be more than reasonable.
Both speed and stability were fair, as has been reflected in the favorable rating for the company on Trustpilot. Although, it's worth noting there are literally only 5 reviews on TrustPilot so far...
Onlive Server Pricing
The Onlive Server pricing plans for its shared web hosting services range from $2 per month to $9 per month, with 3 options in total. The disk space and bandwidth are impressively uncapped for each and every plan, while the differentiating factor is the number of domains you can use within your plan.
For those only needing to host one website, the Standard ($2/month) plan offers great value for money. For 24/7 support, unlimited disk space and bandwidth, a free SSL certificate and website builder, it's hard to find a superior deal.

Actually, the specs delivered by Onlive Server are about as good as you will see for shared hosting at these prices.
This provider is definitely at the affordable end of the scale, and would obviously work well for small businesses and private users.
During my Onlive Server review, I tested the site on Bitcatcha. You can see the results below:
As you can see, the performance of the Onlive Server website was average. This could cause a few minor issues for people with audiences in India, as Bangalore response times were a little slow.
Personally, I didn't encounter any particular problems. However, I was accessing the hosted site from Europe.
Final Thoughts from My Onlive Server Review
I'm happy with how this one turned out.
General feedback from around the world is positive, with Onlive Server receiving a much better ranking on Trustpilot than many of its peers. And I can now vouch for this myself, as I encountered a fair service and quality of shared hosting with this provider.
However, it should also be taken into consideration that there are also a few negative comments jotted around the internet. All complaints are to be taken with a pinch of salt of course, as you never know what is legit and what isn't.
For that reason, though, I recommend starting out with just the $2 starter package to get a feel of things before you upgrade.
