It’s possible that you were surfing the net looking for the cheapest possible hosting. Then you just had to bump into WebHostingPad. Oh yes, it’s cheap and maybe the cheapest of them all! But why is that? Well, our WebHostingPad review will take a look into this case. Let’s roll.
Who is WebHostingPad?
WebHostingPad are the teenagers of the web hosting family. They were founded in the year 2005 by a small team of experts and have grown and expanded over the years to the company they are now. As we mentioned, they are low-price and friendliness orientated, offering really responsive support (for all the problems you may experience from time to time) and easy-to-use Weebly website builder.
WebHostingPad doesn’t share a lot of information about themselves on their website, more focusing on how they will make their clients happy and satisfied. So now, without further ado, time to put WebHostingPad to the unbiased test.
From the first glance, it’s a quite a decent list of services, but the most interesting service that were going to test is Shared Hosting. Affordable and definitely the most popular of all Webhostingpad services, it should show just exactly how good this company really is. Here are the shared hosting plans you will find:
WebHostingPad Pricing & Plans
Let’s review what WebHostingPad has to offer and how much it’ll cost:
– Power Plan Hosting: it starts only at $1.99/mo, giving you unlimited hosting space, bandwidth, email accounts, FTP accounts and hosted domains. Everything most people will need, and for quite an impressive price.
– Power Plan Plus: This plan starts at $4.99 per month and it’s still impressively cheap! It offers free SSL certificate, advanced web stats, premium backup service, and some more nice perks.
Only two plans doesn’t leave much choice, but if you’re looking for many features at an affordable price point, Webhostingpad looks like good value. But just how good that value really is, and what do those prices really mean?
Firstly, as we know from other hosting providers, a promo price is not always completely straightforward. That impressively cheap deal for only $1.99 is only if you’ll commit to WebHostingPad for 48 months. For 12 month deal the price almost doubles up – to $3.99. But it’s not uncommon for web hosting providers to highlight deal with quite long billing cycle. Just keep in mind that juicy $1.99 per month deal is actually $95.52 from your pocket.
However, it’s good to see Webhostingpad being completely transparent about its pricing scheme – and showing it way before someone attempts to buy the services.
Should you decide to buy the services, the pricing scheme will also be shown in the basket:
As you can see, increasing prices are valid for both of Webhostingpad plans. If you want that nice $4.99 deal for Power Plus, you’ll have to commit for 48 or 60 months and spend at least $239.52.
Committing for only 12 months the price is $7.99/month and if you’ll decide that you need some additional add-ons, it comes with an annual fee. As you can see right here:
So how much exactly you will be paying for each plan? Everything is quite clear in the table below.

Weebly website builder
Building a website doesn’t have to be hard. In fact, with a good website builder, you may have a beautiful page in minutes. Weebly is one of the industry leaders, offering beautiful templates – all editable from the ground up, if desired. And Webhostingpad includes a Weebly subscription with every purchase!
A great amount of resources
An unmetered number of websites, bandwidth, and disk space – even in the cheapest possible plan! Webhostingpad doesn’t skimp on the resources its users receive. In many cases, a user wishing to host multiple websites on one account would have to purchase something rather expensive. On Webhostingpad, vast resources are available for a very reasonable price.
Live chat is blazing fast
One minute. This is how much on average we took to get hold of a live chat representative. It’s a very good result, matching even the current industry leaders. It’s a terrific result, and long may it continue
Of course, it has to be said – nobody’s perfect. And while this company has some great things, it wouldn’t be a fair Webhostingpad review without mentioning the negatives. Here’s what bothered us:
Limited server location choices
In today’s global world, it’s both expected to have visitors coming from all around the world, and easy for hosting companies to get an international server location. Webhostingpad has that covered – but only partly. With servers in USA, China, and South Korea, it has international coverage, but it’s mostly spread around the South-East Asia. It’s okay if your visitors are coming from there. But if you have people visiting from South America, Europe, Africa or Australia, it may be a mess.
That being said, here are the response time tests, using Webhostingpad’s USA server: really good in the US – not so much abroad.
2. No SSL in the entry-level plan
Starting summer 2018, Google Chrome has started to mark all websites with no SSL certificate as ‘Not Secure’. For pages looking to incite trust of their legitimacy, an SSL has become a necessity. This is why it’s slightly sad to see Webhostingpad not including an SSL with their entry plan. Sure, you can still get it from free – using a certificate issued by “Let’s Encrypt” – but that’s just one little thing Webhostingpad simply could’ve done
Webhostingpad Review – Is It A Good Choice?
After our evaluation, it is possible to see exactly what this provider can do. And all things considered, if you can look past a few quirks, it’s a very interesting hosting provider.
In terms of resources and features, you get plenty. Weebly website builder, hundreds of Softaculous applications and unmetered websites/bandwidth/disk space is a great combination. Live chat support being available 24/7 and responding in a matter of seconds is also really great.
However, the performance outside of US is questionable. Also, no pre-installed SSL and no assisted website transfer makes this host not perfectly suited for beginners.
However, it’s difficult to beat the value Webhostingpad offers on the entry plan. If you’re looking to host multiple websites or wish to use Weebly – this is a very hard package to beat.
